Gary Peterson to Retire

garyAs of December 31, 2016, Gary Peterson, PSI’s Technical Manager for the Western United States will be retiring. Gary has been with PSI 13 years, starting in 1999 for 3 years and returning in 2006. “The bonds forged with all my optical friends over the years is something I will never forget. PSI will always be my home and I am proud to finish my optical career with this family run company,” says Peterson. He started his career in 1977, after graduating from Chico State, with Essilor in the Lab Services Department. He also worked for Satisloh and DAC Vision and received COLA’s Good Fellow award for outstanding contributions to the Optical Industry in 2010.

mark-farmerMark Farmer started with PSI in September 2016 and will officially take over the territory in January 2017. Farmer is currently co-traveling with Peterson to provide a smooth transition for PSI customers. Farmer previously worked for Hoya Modesto as a lab manager and was the Sales Manager for Cerium Optical Products. “PSI is lucky to have found Mark to fill Gary’s big shoes,” says Patrick Hernandez, President PSI. “We are sorry to see Gary go and wish him a happy retirement.
